Out ranks Starbuck’s and Panera Bread.
Rutter’s Farm Stores was voted to the top spot in the annual Best of York reader’s poll in all five categories for which the company received nominations; Best Quick Service Breakfast, Best Quick Service Lunch, Best Quick Service Dinner, Best Coffee and Best Milk.
Rutter’s beat several national brands, like Starbuck’s, Chipotle and Panera Bread, on the way to No. 1, highlighting Rutter’s hometown appeal. In addition to being a central Pennsylvania favorite, Rutter’s dynamic menu has been recognized by many national publications. Convenience Store Decisions, for example, presented the title of Best New Food Concept of the Year to Rutter’s in 2009.
“We are proud of the recognition we’ve been given on a national level, and winning the Best of York by voting from our loyal customers reaffirms our commitment to innovative new menu items using the best and most flavorful ingredients for our customers” said Derek Gaskins, Rutter’s chief customer officer.
Besides winning recognition in many of these food categories through the years, 2014 marks the twelfth consecutive year that Rutter’s Milk earned the Best of York title.
Rutter’s has been a household name in central Pennsylvania since its beginning in 1921. Today, Rutter’s is led by the family’s 3rd generation of leadership with Scott Hartman as president and CEO, Todd Rutter as president of Rutter’s Dairy and Tim Rutter as president of M&G Realty.
