Beer and wine now available at Starbucks.
Starbucks plans to expand its alcohol and tea selections nationwide, as it rolls an evening menu out to more stores following years of testing, The Oxford Press reported.
Starbucks has said it plans to almost double its market share to $100 billion, and the evening menu is part of making that goal a reality.
The evening menu includes items such as bacon-wrapped dates and pinot grigio, plus a seasonal beer selection. And Starbucks, which purchased Teavana recently, expects to debut new tea-centric stores this year as well.
Chief Operating Officer Troy Alstead told Businessweek that the evening menu leads to an increase in sales during that daypart.
