Casey’s is acquiring the three Green Lantern c-stores-including the fuel islands and attached car washes-based in Salina, Kan., effective Dec. 9, according to KSAL News.
Green Lanterns officials noted the stores will be under the ownership of Casey’s Retail Company of Ankeny, Iowa and will also operate as Casey’s General Stores. With this purchase, Casey’s will now be operating five convenience stores in the area.
While the car washes attached to the convenience stores at Iron and Ohio, 9th and Crawford and 9th and Magnolia are part of the sale, two stand alone car washes at State and Broadway and on Planet Avenue are not included in the sale to Casey’s.
Casey’s has agreed to accept pre-paid Green Lantern gift certificates, car wash tickets and fundraiser coupons for one year, and Green Lantern gift certificates can also be redeemed at Petro:2 on North 9th Street. Casey’s, however, will not redeem the Green Lantern self-service car wash tokens, but the existing car wash tokens will continue to be taken at the two remaining Green Lantern self-service car washes.
