Fresh & Easy Wines Win Awards

Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market received nine medals for its specially selected wines at the 2009 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the majority of which retail for under $10, the company said.

Fresh & Easy now has more than 30 award-wining wines, but it has won accolades for the following wines at the 2009 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition:

  • Hilltown Sauvignon Blanc 2007, Gold Medal Winner ($6.99)
  • Roslyn Vineyards Chardonnay 2007, Silver Medal Winner ($5.99)
  • St Helens Riesling 2007, Silver Medal Winner ($5.99)
  • Leccino Old Vine Zinfandel 2006, Silver Medal Winner ($5.99)
  • Villaraine Viognier 2007, Silver Medal Winner ($5.99)
  • Napa Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2006, Silver Medal Winner ($10.99)
  • Napa Family Vineyards Chardonnay 2006, Silver Medal Winner ($9.99)
  • Roslyn Vineyards Pinot Gris 2007, Bronze Medal Winner ($5.99)
  • Primarius Pinot Noir 2006, Bronze Medal Winner ($11.99)

    The retailer works directly with a Master of Wine to develop most of its 65 specially selected wines, which are exclusively available at its stores.
