Christmas coloring contest brings in $7,300 in donations for Middle Tennessee Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
Hunt Brothers Pizza recently presented the local Middle Tennessee chapter of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation a donation of $7,300 in honor of its 7,300 retailer locations across the U.S. Funds were raised during the company’s second annual Christmas Coloring Contest.
The contest ran from Nov. 25 through Dec. 31 and offered fans an opportunity to be entered into a random drawing for a $500 prize. To enter the contest, fans were invited to color in the graphics on the limited-time edition Hunt Brothers Pizza Christmas pizza boxes and submit a photo of their artwork online. For each submission, Hunt Brothers Pizza pledged to make a donation to Toys for Tots.
Thanks to the support and participation from families nationwide, Hunt Brothers Pizza is proud to announce the winner, Hallie Nichols of Oran, Mo.
“She was so excited. She didn’t believe me at first. She was just in total shock,” said Cary Nichols, Hallie’s father. “Then I told her about how it helped raise money for Toys for Tots. That made her even happier, so I used that time to help her research what Toys for Tots does.”
All proceeds donated to the Middle Tennessee Toys for Tots Foundation will be used to purchase toys for all age groups in Middle Tennessee counties.
“It is an honor to support Toys for Tots and their mission to support less-fortunate children,” said Keith Solsvig, vice president of marketing for Hunt Brothers Pizza. “On behalf of Hunt Brothers Pizza, we congratulate Hallie Nichols and her family for winning the prize and thank all our fans for taking the time to participate and share their artwork with us. It is a blessing to see our fans come together to support such a worthy cause.”
