Bluetooth technology helps connect the device to an app to lock the device or monitor things like battery life.
R.J. Reynolds Vapor Co. has announced that its VUSE Connect Solo power units are set to be available nationally on Nov. 24, 2015.
These state-of-the-art units feature Bluetooth Low Energy technology that enables adult tobacco consumers to pair the device with a mobile app to monitor things like battery level, battery life and cartridge levels.
The power units will only be available for purchase online at www.vusevapor.com – which is restricted to age-verified adult tobacco consumers who are 21 years of age or older. The VUSE mobile app also allows adult tobacco consumers to lock the unit to help prevent use of the device by youth and others.
The VUSE Connect Solo power unit works with traditional VUSE cartridges that are already on the market and available for purchase at retail by adult tobacco consumers. A list of retailers that sell VUSE cartridges is available online at www.prod.vusevapor.com/locator, which is restricted to verified adult tobacco consumers 21 years of age or older.
The launch is in response to adult tobacco consumers who have told R.J.R that they are interested in new technology.
“Offering innovative products like VUSE Connect supports our efforts to lead the transformation of the tobacco industry, providing adult tobacco consumers smoke-free product options to consider,” said Company Spokesman Jacob McConnico.
