The coach said, “Just keep doing what you’re doing.”
Now, anyone with an ounce of sense knows that poor wanna-be starter would be warming the bench all season if he followed that advice (if he wasn’t traded or cut first).
You need to tell your employees exactly, specifically what they need to do in order to make your “starting team” of All-Stars. Otherwise, you’re just setting them up to fail.
