Land Mark Products, a food manufacturer to the convenience store industry, has been awarded the Safe Quality Food Institute’s (SQF) Level 2 Certification.
The SQF Certification is awarded to food manufacturers that comply with stringent procedural and process standards that are designed to prevent problems that can cause food borne illness.
Part of Land Mark’s certification included identifying potential hazards and creating plans to minimize or prevent them.
“We’re proud of this accomplishment,” stated Land Mark Products President and CEO Jason Farrell. “Food safety is our No. 1 concern, and we are proud that we’ve achieved this level of credibility. It also shows our customers that we’re doing our best to provide their customers with the best quality food possible.”
Land Mark Products, which is also USDA approved, manufactures prepared foods and distributes them nationally to a wide range of customers, including convenience store chains, hospitality, grocery stores, private label and school lunch providers.
Land Mark Products was founded in 1977 as a provider of pizzaria-quality pizzas to the convenience store industry. Today, the company manufactures and distributes its foods to over 2,000 customers across the country with a product range that includes sandwiches, breakfast programs and pizza components.
