At the Mid-America Trucking Show the Health Awareness Walk promotes healthier professional drivers.
Together with Trucking Solutions Group, TravelCenters of America (TravelCenters) operator of the TA and Petro Stopping Centers branded travel centers, invite the entire trucking industry to join the fifth annual MATS Health Awareness Walk.
The walk will be held on Thursday, March 27, at 6:30 p.m. ET, and will commence from the Papa John’s Stadium truck parking lot at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky.
The MATS Health Awareness Walk—the first of its kind—is a fitness event for the trucking industry. It’s free to participate, and walkers can register just prior to the walk, in the Papa John’s lot near the TA/Petro tent and shuttle pick-up/drop-off spot. The walk route will take participants to Churchill Downs and back to the Papa John’s lot.
All walk participants will receive 500 UltraONE Driver Rewards Program Points, which will be added to their account in the TA/Petro booth (#19156) at MATS in the Kentucky Expo Center.
The MATS Health Awareness Walk is a fun, non-competitive, 1.5-mile course for anyone in the trucking industry who wants to help raise fitness awareness, get fit, stay healthy or find tips to enhance their workouts. Participants can choose to walk all or part of the 1.5-mile distance.
TA and Petro, together with Trucking Solutions Group, are innovators in the trucking industry, working toward making personal health and fitness easier for all truckers. TravelCenters rolled out its StayFit program in 2010, offering better-for-you restaurant menu options and travel store items, in addition to free fitness centers, mapped walking trails and basketball courts, nationwide.
TravelCenters of America LLC (TravelCenters), headquartered in Westlake, Ohio, is a travel center business in 43 states and Canada operating under the TA and Petro Stopping Centers brands, with 249 convenient full-service locations off interstate highway exits.
