Sheetz Convenience Restaurant will open its 227th store in Pennsylvania at 101 Ronda Court, in North Huntingdon, Pa. on Dec. 13, at 11 a.m.
Monica Jones, from Sheetz, will be joined by North Huntingdon Township and Westmoreland County officials for the grand opening celebration. This will be the company’s 433rd store throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina.
“Pennsylvania has been home to Sheetz for more than 60 years and now we will have one more location to serve our loyal customers,” said Stan Sheetz, president and CEO of Sheetz Inc. “Around the corner and across the state Sheetz has become a favorite stop for award winning Made-To-Order food and specialty beverages that we proudly serve 24 hours a day, every day.”
The new 5,700-square-foot building will bring more than good food and cheap gas with them to North Huntingdon Township. Sheetz will be creating 40-45 new full and part-time jobs in the area, while adding $3.5 million taxable property value to the city and county tax base.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will bring excitement to the area’s residents, who are hoping to be among the first 50 in line to receive a $100 Sheetz gift card, good for food and beverages. Sheetz will also make a $2,500 donation to the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania, as part of the grand opening celebration. They have been proud supporters of the Special Olympics for more than 20 years.
The new Sheetz will be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and offer fresh food items like Sheetz’ signature Made-To-Order (MTO) items that include Angus beef burgers, premium grilled chicken sandwiches, freshly made salads, French fries, onion rings and more. The new store will also feature our M-T-Go! and Shweetz Bakery lines of sandwiches, wraps, donuts and muffins, along with Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, a full-service espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista where customers can order hand-made specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas – hot, frozen or iced.
