IDDBA scholarship program deadline is April 1, while the application deadline for the IDDBA Food Safety Certification Reimbursement Program is set for June 1.
The next application deadline for the International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association (IDDBA) scholarship program has been set for April 1, 2012.
The IDDBA offers scholarships to employees of IDDBA-member companies in amounts ranging from $100 to $1,000 for college or vocational/technical school students in business, marketing, or food-related fields of study.
There are four application deadlines each year: Jan. 1, April 1, July 1 and Oct. 1.
In other IDDBA news, the next application deadline for the IDDBA Food Safety Certification Reimbursement Program is June 1, 2012, for training completed March 1 – April 30.
The IDDBA reimburses a portion of expenses to IDDBA-member retailer companies that certify dairy, deli, and bakery department-level managers and associates in food safety. In FY 2010-11, the program paid out $11,497 to retailers who certified a total of 408 managers and associates.
Since the program began in July 2003, retailers have received reimbursement totaling $212,733 for certifying 5,584 managers and associates.
