C-Store Day is celebrated nationwide across Canada.
Canada-based Parkland Fuel Corp.’s On the Run/Marché Express convenience stores is the title sponsor of the sixth annual C-Store Day, which for the first time was held nationwide on Aug. 30.
“On the Run, an iconic Canadian convenience store brand is honored to be sponsoring the first national C-Store Day,” said Ian White, vice president of strategic marketing for Parkland Fuel Corp. and chair, Convenience Store Association. “This special event provides the opportunity to celebrate the contributions that convenience stores make to the communities they serve.”
“On the Run/Marché Express is a valuable member of the Parkland family and provides a strong convenience store platform which Parkland is expanding across Canada. These stores provide us with the opportunity to grow and enhance our convenience store offerings nationwide and demonstrate our commitment to both the C-Store business along with that of exceeding our customers’ expectations,” he added.
Started in 2012 in Atlantic Canada, this year’s C-Store Day was celebrated in every province, with participation in more than 50 communities.
The fundraising partner for this year’s event is the Children’s Wish Foundation, Canada’s largest wish-granting charity. All funds will go to support Zoe’s Wish. Zoe is an enthusiastic five-year-old who has undergone major surgery to remove a large tumor, a kidney and lymph nodes The Canadian Convenience Stores Association is a national, not-for-profit association that represents the interests of the convenience retail channel by working with its affiliated Associations (NACDA, OCSA, WCSA, QCSA and ACSA).
