The vice president and general manager of Reid Stores Inc./Crosby’s will lend his vast industry experience to NAG to help shape the association’s direction.
The National Advisory Group (NAG), a retail trade association for convenience store and petroleum operators, is proud to announce that Doug Galli, Vice President and General Manager of Reid Stores Inc./Crosby’s has joined the Board of Directors.
As a member of the NAG Board, Galli will utilize his extensive industry experience to help the board identify burning issues for upcoming NAG Conferences, selecting speakers and serving as a NAG ambassador for new and existing NAG members.
Galli, who replaces John Schaninger, the former Vice President of Sales and Marketing for QuickChek, has agreed to a two-year board term.
“I am looking forward to working with the fine people on the NAG Board to bring high quality, useful information that we can all take back to our companies to drive sales and profits into our stores,” Galli said.
Galli has been with The Reid Group, parent company of Reid Stores since 2004. Prior to that, he spent 29 years with Tops Markets/Wilson Farms having worked in both the supermarket and convenience store division.
Reid Stores/Crosby’s currently operates 87 convenience stores throughout Western New York and Northwest Pennsylvania. In addition, it operates a freestanding Tim Hortons Café and Bakeshop. Within its 87 locations the company also operates as a franchisee of three additional Tim Hortons locations and 12 Subway locations.
Galli brings not only retail experience to the NAG Board, but also strong board leadership. He currently serves on the board of the New York Association of Convenience Stores (NYACS), where he recently completed two years as Board Chair. He also served for 15 years on his local school board.
A lifelong New Yorker (and Yankees fan), Galli was born and raised in Liverpool, New York a suburb of Syracuse and currently resides in Amherst, New York outside of Buffalo. He has been married for 42 years to Karen and the couple has three daughters and three grandchildren.
