Technology glitches move launch date of Amazon Go store.
Amazon is delaying the launch of its Amazon Go c-store, where customers will be able to grab their groceries and go without interacting with a checkout employee. Technology issues are to blame for the delay.
The Amazon Go store had been set to open by the end of March in Seattle following a beta launch to employees in December, the Wall Street Journal reported, but the checkout system, which uses cameras and sensors that interact with cell phones to detect what shoppers are purchasing, develops glitches when the store is too crowded.
