It is now easier than ever to pick up prescriptions, make payments and earn loyalty rewards at CVS.
CVS is streamlining the checkout process both at the front of the store and at the pharmacy with the introduction of its new mobile payment platform.
According to a recent report from Fortune, CVS has launched the new CVS Pay app, which will integrate payment, prescription pickup and the brand’s ExtraCare loyalty program into a single scan at checkout. The new payment platform is currently available for use in certain stores in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware, but a nationwide launch is slated to begin later this year.
Fortune reported that the new app is available to customers with iOS and Android devices, and it is compatible with all major credit cards.
In addition to making the checkout process easier, this new app also makes it easier for customers to manage their prescriptions, as it now allows consumers to request refills and set alerts for when a medication is ready to be picked up, Fortune reported.
The new CVS Pay app is intended to improve the overall customer experience, and it is expected to keep customers engaged during their trips to CVS.
