OMEGA-member stores sold paper flowers to raise money to support the Children’s Home Society of West Virginia.
The West Virginia Oil Marketers & Grocers Association (OMEGA) made an announcement in Charleston, W. Va. that the organization has raised funds to help the children and families of the Children’s Home Society of West Virginia.
According to a report from The Exponent Telegram, OMEGA has raised $75,235 through its “Every Child Deserves A Loving Home” Campaign for the Children’s Home Society of West Virginia.
During the campaign, nearly 500 OMEGA-membered convenience and grocery stores sold paper flowers for $1, from April 11 through May 8, to support the Children’s Home Society of West Virginia. The Exponent Telegram reported that the money raised will be used to support child assistance programs, such as emergency child shelters, foster care, adoption, mentoring, early intervention and other family support programs throughout the state.
The Exponent Telegram reported that Little General Stores Inc., Par Mar Oil Co., BFS Foods Inc., Go-Mart Inc., TWJ Inc., DeFazio Oil Co., Petersburg Oil Co., Mini-Giants, R.M. Roach & Son, R.T. Rogers Oil Co. and the Kanawha City Foodland were among the OMEGA-membered stores that participated in the campaign.
