Jiffy Mart was recently honored by the Maryland Chamber of Commerce for a Business Breakthrough Award.
For the second year in a row, multiple Carroll County, Md. businesses were nominated for and won the Business Breakthrough Award, sponsored by the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.
Convenience store chain Jiffy Mart and Tevis Motor Fuel won in the 51-200 employees category. In Carroll County, currently there are four Tevis Oil owned and operated convenience stores operating under the Jiffy Mart Brand. Well Advantage won in the 11-50 employees category.
The Carroll County Chamber’s winners from the November 2013 Small Business Awards were nominated for the 2014 Maryland Chamber of Commerce Business Breakthrough Awards held on May 29.
The Maryland Chamber of Commerce, along with its local chamber and association partners, established this awards program in 2001 to recognize the excellence in innovation, growth, and entrepreneurial spirit of Maryland’s small businesses. Renamed the Maryland Business Breakthrough Awards in 2013, the recognition is presented based on company size, growth and innovation, competitiveness in the market, and contributions to the community.
