Raises money for breast cancer awareness at station grand opening.
Local CITGO Marketer Bazco Oil Co. celebrated the grand opening of its newest CITGO location in Dearborn, Mich., by raising money for breast cancer awareness and research.
To celebrate, the company offered discounts of 20 cents per gallon on gasoline and, on May 3, 10 cents from each gallon of fuel sold went to support the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. The event also marked more than 25 years of Bazco Oil serving communities in Michigan and Ohio.
“As we continue to expand our network, we wanted to give back to the customers who visit our stores regularly and also give back to our community and the causes that are close to our hearts,” said Waleid Elhady, sales and marketing executive at Bazco Oil. “Our grand opening was the perfect opportunity to do both. Some of our team members will be participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in June, so this was a way to launch their campaign and launch our new location.”
Along with CITGO Fueling Good ambassadors Adam and Diego, hundreds of residents came out to enjoy the grand opening festivities on May 3. As part of the event, customers also had the chance to register to win CITGO Gift Cards and enjoy discounts on food and drink.
