Lipton, the No.1 brand of iced tea, according to Nielsen data for the 52 weeks ended Jan. 19, 2013, is offering a free sample to help c-stores discover how profitable Lipton Fresh Brewed Iced Tea can be. Fresh brewed iced tea has a 98% average profit margin, making it more profitable than fountain, bottled or liquid concentrate iced tea.  In C-Stores, iced tea is the No. 1  fastest-growing item, according to Mintel Menu Insights Q3 2011.  Lipton is the tea people ask for—it’s preferred 2-to-1 by consumers (Ipsos InnoQuest, August 2012).

Here’s how one Express Mart in New Brunswick, New Jersey, has grown their beverage business with Lipton: “We started by brewing one gallon at lunchtime, and it soon expanded to a gallon in the morning, three in the afternoon and sometimes another gallon in the evening,” said the owner. “I have switched most of my fountain tea business to the fresh brewed—where I make more gross profit.”
