The Wyatt brothers, co-owners of the 89 year old Geo. H. Green Oil Co. of Fairburn, Ga., announced today the continued success of their annual fund raising efforts.
“Despite a seriously challenged economy our great team found ways to continue our record of success raising more than $26,000 in just 27 days–an increase of 4% over last years campaign,” “We are so appreciative of the enormously successful efforts of our two awesome truck stops, great office staff along with the splendid cooperation of our dealers and vendors and the continued generosity of our wonderful Customers,” the brothers said in a news release.
Checks have been written that distribute 100% of the funds raised to three local Charities: Greater Atlanta’s Empty Stocking Fund, which furnishes toys; educational material and an article of clothing to more than 50,000 underprivileged children each year; Fairburn’s In His Great Name Ministry, which feeds the spiritual needs and has raised consciousness all along the south side; and Newnan’s Welcome House a Shelter for Women in need!
“The spirit and true meaning of the Christmas holiday continues to ring loud and clear in a manner that would make our founders so very proud and happy,” the brothers said. “Thank you all. Through your combined efforts Children all over the area will awake Christmas morning to toys and joys.”
Green Oil operates approximately 50 convenience stores in Georgia.
