Valero Makes Connections Through New Website

Valero Corner Stores strengthens its relationship with loyal customers through its new Website.

Valero Retail Holdings Inc. Corner Store locations delve deeper into the social media world as the company creates the new Website and a store app.

The launch enabled more than 100,000 consumers to participate in the free music and movies promotion during the summer, and the app allowed consumers to find fuel prices, close stores and deals at Corner Store locations.

“This gives us more flexibility and the ability to engage our loyal customers,” said Hal Adams, Valero’s vice president of retail merchandising. “It is one of our key strategic plans for marketing.”

Corner Store partnered with OpenStore by GasBuddy to build its social media platforms. Jason Toews, CEO of GasBuddy, said Corner Store is expected to make stronger connections with its customers through its new social media and mobile technology advances.

Valero Energy Corporation operates approximately 6,800 retail and branded wholesale outlets with either the Valero, Diamond Shamrock, Shamrock and Beacon brands in the U.S. and the Caribbean, Ultramar in Canada and Texaco in the U.K.
