Stop & Shop invites people to celebrate its grand opening at its newest Pembroke store with rewards on in-store products.
The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company LLC opened its doors today at 24 Mattakeesett St. in Pembroke, Mass.
Stop & Shop expanded its value and convenience further in the Pembroke, Mass.-area as this is its second store in the town. The 45,000 square foot store offers full-service meat, seafood, natural and organic foods to consumers. The company plans to give away special savings to customers who visit during the grand opening weekend.
Stop & Shop also promotes the town of Pembroke’s 300th Anniversary celebration. Anytime a customer “checks in” on Facebook or Foursquare during the supermarket’s grand opening weekend, Stop & Shop will donate $1 to $1,000 as a supplement to the $2,500 already being donated to the town’s anniversary fund.
“One of the greatest rewards of partnering with a town to create a new store location is being able to give back to our customers not only during their instore shopping experience, but also in community support,” said Joe Kelley, president of the Stop & Shop New England division.
Kelley said he encourages local residents to help the company raise funds for its community.
Throughout the year, Stop & Shop also distributes weekly specials and deals, gas rewards for Stop & Shop gas stations and a school rewards program to support education in local communities.
Stop & Shop Supermarket Company LLC operates more than 400 stores throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, New York and New Jersey.
