A $6,500 grant was presented to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation.
At Handee Marts’ Annual Meeting and Trade Show Dinner, Handee Marts President & CEO Mike Triantafellou, presented a grant check for $6,500 to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation.
Foundation President Greg Barrett was in attendance and accepted the check on behalf of the Foundation. The grant was funded by BP as part of their BP Fueling Communities Program. Fueling Communities provides grants to local organizations that are nominated by BP Branded Marketers to support the communities in which they do business.
When BP announced the Fueling Communities Program , Handee Marts immediately nominated the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, specifically their Free Care Fund, which Handee Marts has been supporting over the years with contributions totaling close to $600,000.
At the same event, Todd & Liz Umstott won the Franchisee of the Year Award and Triantafellou awarded this year’s President’s Award to Handee Marts Field Consultant Marcia Foertsch, and for the first time to a vendor—Mike Cotherman of McLane Co.—for their contributions towards Building Value Through Partnerships.
