Quick Chek has announced the results to its “Name it…Claim it” contest, where consumers entered names for the chain’s frozen beverage line during a contest held August and September of 2009.
Francis LaMonica of Tinton Falls, N.J., won the contest with her suggested name “Quick Freeze,” which nods both to the name of the chain and the refreshment the drinks provide.
The grand prize winner, whose name was randomly chosen from a pool of contest participants entering Quick Freeze as their name of choice, was subsequently awarded a Nintendo Wii along with free Quick Chek Quick Freeze drinks for a one-year period.
Beginning Monday, April 19 through the summer season, Quick Chek, which operates 120 locations throughout New Jersey and southern New York, plans to celebrate the launch of Quick Freeze by hosting daily Happy Hour events as it drops the price of all fountain and Quick Freeze drinks by 50% from 3 – 7 p.m.
