Thorntons Opens Six New Stores


Thorntons has opened six new stores in December 2009, four of which are in Nashville, Tenn., expanding that market to 10 locations in two and a half years.


In addition, Thorntons opened a new store in the Chicago suburb of East Dundee, Ill., and another location in Champaign, Ill. With the addition of these new locations, Thorntons will operate 161 locations throughout Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, and Ohio.


Customers can look forward to a clean and friendly environment with high quality foods, such as fresh sandwiches, salads, fruit and more. The new stores feature a redesigned look with a greater focus on fresh food and refreshments. This includes Thorntons’ innovative roller grill bar design featuring “hot off the grill” items like hot dogs, corndogs, and more. They offer a large variety of ice cold fountain drinks, tasty frozen Icee flavors, mouth-watering smoothies, and the freshest Coffee in town.
