Mike Schulte became the president of Gilbarco North America, effective today, Dec. 1.
In this role, Schulte reports to Martin Gafinowitz, Danaher Group executive and president for Gilbarco Veeder-Root. Schulte’s appointment signals a continued investment in the North American business by Gilbarco and a commitment to the retail and commercial fueling sites in the region.
“This will be a great step for the business,” Gafinowitz said. “Mike will greatly strengthen Gilbarco’s team and bring a proven focus to our customers and the needs of the North American market, in particular.”
Schulte most recently served as the president of Hennessy Industries. He has held numerous leadership positions with other Danaher companies since 1998, including director of marketing and VP/GM Encoders while at Sensors and Controls, and president Europe, president Linear Motion and senior vice president of sales and marketing while at Danaher Motion. Prior to joining Danaher, Schulte worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group. He began his career in sales at General Motors.
Schulte has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Management Systems from GMI Engineering and Management Institute. He will be based in Greensboro, N.C.
