Save on Snickers at Sam’s Club

As part of the Sam’s Club ongoing commitment to help independent convenience store owners make a profit and simplify their business needs, the company has lowered prices on chocolate bars-the leader among candy sales in c-stores.

From Aug. 29-Oct. 10, independent convenience store owners can purchase 48-count boxes of Snickers at a discounted price. If sold at the suggested retail price, this allows operators to turn a higher profit during these tough economic times.

According to the National Association of Convenience Stores, U.S. c-stores sell about 15% of the total candy sold at the retail level-and an even greater percentage of chocolate. Even in a recession, consumers still want chocolate. This recession resistant category draws customers as they seek small indulgences and rewards, even as they are cutting back on other purchases.
