Rutter’s marked the opening of its first Carlisle-area convenience store by donating $45,000 to United Way of Carlisle and Cumberland County to provide childcare scholarships, the company said.
Rutter’s Farm Stores opened Dec. 5 in Middlesex Township in Cumberland County. The company also has a store in Shippensburg, Pa.
“Rutter’s is proud to be a growing part of Cumberland County and to give back to the customers and communities that make our success possible,” said Scott Hartman, president and CEO of Rutter’s Farm Stores. “It’s our privilege to support the United Way with this donation, which will help families with their child care needs.”
