Gilbarco and PDI said they’ve partnered to develop a full back-office system linking Gilbarco’s Express Ordering self-service kiosks and PDI/Enterprise and PDI/FocalPoint applications.
The companies said retailers can benefit from streamlined foodservice inventory and accounting management from the familiar PDI system operation. Express Ordering works in conjunction with the retailer’s choice on point of sale (POS).
“Many of our customers are already familiar with the PDI/Enterprise and PDI/FocalPoint applications, and they will be impressed with this robust addition,” said Richard Browne, Gilbarco’s vice president of marketing for North America. “Teamed with our powerful Express Ordering kiosks, customers now have the tools to better manage their foodservice operations, controlling costs and driving results in the most profitable category in the convenience store business.”
PDI President Greg Gilkerson said his company’s flagship product, PDI/Enterprise, will now have significant foodservice features built into it.
“The support for Gilbarco’s self-service kiosk allows our mutual customers to manage customer-friendly menu technology from a headquarters office,” Gilkerson said. “It’s a powerful response to a real market need.”
