Bakery product producer Artimex LLC has acquired the Tina’s brand of baked goods, the company said.
Artimex has gained exclusive rights to produce the full line of Tina’s-brand bakery goods, including a continuation of the original recipes that made the brand a success.
Artimex produces a variety of frozen dough and fully baked products, with specialty items including bolillos, teleras, conchas, elotes, empanadas, jelly jolls and more, as well as bagels, muffins, brownies, danishes, cookies, cakes and custards for retail, in-store bakery and foodservice industries.
A subsidiary of the El Giro Corporation, Artimex currently supplies eleven of El Giro’s Mexican restaurants and bakeries in Southern and Northern California.
“This strengthens the presence of Artimex in the market through the c-store channels,” said Brent Galasso, general manager and a third generation baker. “The synergies and philosophies will compliment our current business model and allow us to create new and exciting products with the opportunity to expand into other U.S. and Canadian markets.”
