Gilbarco Veeder-Root will be featured on The Travel Channel’s Made In America program on June 14 at noon Eastern, a segment that will highlight the company’s products used by consumer worldwide.
The company’s product lineup features sophisticated technology developed and produced at the company’s Greensboro, N.C. headquarters. Program host John Ratzenberger will chat with Gilbarco Veeder-Root President Greg Beason about the company’s rich history of leadership and innovation that began in 1865 in Springfield, Mass.
The show will also discuss the company’s 1965 relocation to the current 600,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Greensboro, N.C.
“We are extremely proud of our associates and enjoyed the opportunity to showcase them and our innovative technology to The Travel Channel’s audience,” Beason said. “Our business is changing rapidly to respond to changes in the retail fueling marketplace, and having The Travel Channel choose to feature many of our innovations is great recognition of the creativity and hard work of our associates.”
Gilbarco Vice President of Operations Roy Walker will take the show’s camera crew on a tour of the company’s production line where Encore S, the leading brand of fuel dispensers, is made for North American and global customers.
The Encore S dispensers feature merchandising and payment options that enable users to do new and exciting things while fueling, the company said. Consumers can search, view and print driving directions from Google, as well as print coupons and order sandwiches at the pump.
In other news, Murphy Oil USA chose Gilbarco to manage its fueling systems maintenance at all Murphy Oil locations.
In February 2008, Gilbarco and Murphy Oil USA implemented system integration between their two support center systems, enabling all dispatch data and service updates to be exchanged electronically.
