The 5,200-square-foot convenience store project, scheduled to be completed in August 2017, features an updated design.
Niemann Foods Inc. is expanding its Haymakers convenience chain in both Illinois and Missouri with two new store locations.
Niemann Holdings has partnered again with DBS Group to develop Haymakers’ newest convenience store in Macon, Missouri. The 5,200-square-foot convenience store project, which is scheduled to be completed in August 2017, incorporates an updated Haymakers store design—the same being used in another new Haymakers project in Pittsfield, Ill.
The Pittsfield store is on track to be finished in one month later, in September.
PROTOTYPE STORE
Mason Sedlacek, project manager at DBS Group, told Convenience Store Decisions the two stores are different from other Haymakers locations.
“These two are prototypes,” said Sedlacek.
Featuring a gas canopy, diesel canopy, outdoor patio seating, indoor dining seating, beer cave, yogurt bar, beverage bar, coffee bar and a hot and cold food island, Haymakers’ new design is a larger building footprint that enhances the store layout and improve the customer shopping experience. Other improvements include revisions to the exterior facade and a change to a wood-framed building structure to provide clean building lines and an economical building shell assembly.
Operates at least five other stores in the Illinois cities of Champaign, Decatur and Quincy and another location in Missouri.
Niemann Foods, based in Quincy, Ill., operates more than 100 retail locations including County Market supermarkets, Save-A-Lot grocery stores, Harvest Market, County Market Express and Pick a Dilly convenience stores, Pet Supplies Plus and Ace Hardware stores.
