Retif looks to consolidate and streamline operations as it continues to expand.
Retif Oil and Fuel has selected PDI as its enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider.
Retif licensed several products from PDI, including its wholesale petroleum software suite, warehouse inventory module, and self-service customer portal. The company will rely on PDI’s enterprise solution to increase operational transparency, optimize inventory management, and ensure customer satisfaction from order generation to delivery.
Retif, a family-owned business founded in 1965, is one of the nation’s leading distributors of petroleum products. With corporate offices in Harvey, Louisiana, the company operates fuel facilities and warehouses in the southeastern U.S. that service customers from Texas to Florida and as far north as Tennessee.
“As our business has grown, we’ve accumulated a multitude of proprietary and off-the-shelf systems,” said Ryan Retif, vice president of Retif Oil and Fuel. “We were looking for a solution provider that could help us consolidate and streamline our operations as we continue to expand. It was particularly important to us to eliminate manual processes around data gathering and reconciliation. PDI’s indepth knowledge of the petroleum marketing business and reputation for delivering robust, easy-to implement solutions made them the natural choice.”
Retif joins more than 250 companies using PDI’s wholesale petroleum software solution, which also includes card processing and tax reporting modules. PDI recently expanded that product offering with its acquisition of Florida-based, fuel supply chain and logistics company, Intellifuel, further demonstrating its commitment to delivering a comprehensive solution to petroleum marketers.
“Retif was a longtime Intellifuel customer prior to our acquisition late last year,” said Bo Harvey, senior vice president of North American operations for PDI. “Their decision to incorporate more of our solution into their business is not only exciting, but it demonstrates their faith in our commitment to building on that relationship and delivering products they need to grow their business.”
The software implementation process for Retif has already begun. The project is scheduled for completion later this year.
