Pulling from fast-casual restaurants, McDonald’s is introducing kiosk ordering, table service.
McDonald’s Corp. is engaging Millennials and adding a fast-casual spin to fast-food with the roll out of a new design that includes self-order kiosks, premium menu items and table service.
McDonald’s noted that it has 500 restaurants in Southern California, New York City and Florida that already incorporate an “experience of the future,” which includes technology, food and service upgrades. This new experience is heading to cities like Seattle, Boston and Washington, D.C., in 2017, according to McDonald’s, as reported by MarketWatch.
In 2017, the fast-food giant will also start rolling out mobile ordering and mobile pay in the U.S. and drive-throughs are getting an upgrade with double lanes.
