The York, Pa.-based c-store chain to be first in the U.S. to add the Bacon-Wrapped Cheddar Dog to its roller grill.
Rutter’s Farm Stores is offering the Kunzler’s Bacon-Wrapped Cheddar Dogs exclusively at Rutter’s marketplace through January 2017.
Rutter’s will be the first in the country to sell the new Bacon-Wrapped Cheddar Dog from Kunzler. This hot dog is wrapped in bacon and stuffed with both cheddar cheese and cracked black pepper. Rutter’s will be proudly displaying these on its roller grill, which means it will be available at all of its 65 locations.
Kunzler’s Bacon-Wrapped Cheddar Dog hit Rutter’s grill Thursday, Oct. 20.
“Our Bacon-Wrapped Cheddar Dog has been three years in the making. We are extremely pleased to have joined with Kunzler, a long-time, local partner, for this great opportunity. We pride ourselves with being first-to-market, while providing our customers with high quality food choices they can’t find anywhere else,” said Ryan Krebs, director of food services.
With roots dating back to 1747, Rutter’s 269-year history makes it the oldest vertically-integrated food company in the U.S.
