Event raises funds for the QuickChek Family Fund.
QuickChek Corp. converted the lawn of its company’s headquarters support center in Whitehouse Station, N.J. into a makeshift miniature golf course on Tuesday, Oct. 11 in order to raise money for the QuickChek Family Fund.
More than 150 executives, employee team members and vendors of the fresh convenience market chain enjoyed playing miniature golf on the makeshift course.
QuickChek, which has been named one of the most generous companies in New Jersey for supporting the communities it serves, continues to take care of its own.
The QuickChek Family Fund supports employees who may suffer a hardship during the year, as well as supplying toys and gift cards to families in need to ensure that their upcoming winter holidays will be brighter.
For more than a decade, QuickChek, which has been named Convenience Store Decisions’ 2016 Convenience Store Chain of the Year, has held events throughout the year to support the Family Fund, which is supported solely by employees and company vendors.
A highlight is the annual “golf” outing. This year each of the company’s internal departments created a U.S. city-themed miniature golf hole on the lawn of the QuickChek Support Center. Participants were asked to dress up as representatives of the U.S. city of their choice or representing their city-themed golf hole.
QuickChek enjoys the rare distinction of being named one of the Best Companies to Work in both New Jersey and New York State. The privately-held chain employs more than 3,700 people in 145 store locations throughout New Jersey, New York’s Hudson Valley and Long Island.
