Look at what supermarkets are doing with food snacks and see what you can replicate.
Snacks today span more than chips and meat sticks. As customers turn to snacking throughout the day, prepared food bites that they can eat either between meals or as they graze all day long are growing more important to customers. Convenience stores can compete with quick-service restaurants but it can be challenging to compete with supermarkets/grocery stores on snacks because they have different competencies. Looking at those competencies and replicating them can help you compete. This is key as grocery is expected to become an even bigger competitor to c-stores on snacks and food in the future. Today’s idea comes from Josh Tahan, research consultant at Study Hall Research.
