The new convenience store is the largest for the chain to date and features an upgrade c-store model.
Fastrac recently opened a new convenience store store on Oriskany Street in Utica, N.Y.
The new Utica store bears little resemblance to its former self, which stood less than a quarter mile away from the present site. This one-stop-shop represents a realigned corporate focus and an upgraded convenience store model that is now being implemented across the Fastrac chain.
Welcome the Fastrac Cafe, with expanded products and services that include a drive-through window, freshly prepared food and baked goods, online and in-store kiosk ordering, bistro-style seating, expanded grocery items and bulk foods, and a tasty assortment of frozen concoctions and beverages.
At 5,600 square feet, the Utica store has 50% more space than most competitors; it also offers 12 fueling positions plus three high-speed diesel pumps for tractor trailers.
“It’s our largest store to date, and one of seven launched over the past 18 months,” Fastrac’s Jim Allen, vice president of marketing. “We’re proud to offer the Utica community a place that serves a variety of needs, whether it’s picking up a cup of coffee or a gallon of milk at our Drive-Thru, stopping for a fresh breakfast sandwich on the run, sitting down to a toasted sub for lunch, or carrying out a made-to-order pizza for dinner. It’s truly a one-stop shop for travelers, commuters, local residents, and last-minute shoppers.”
The public was invited to a special ribbon-cutting event at 1400 Oriskany Street West, Utica, held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016. Mike Saxe, the general manager of the Utica store, welcomed Utica’s mayor Robert Palmieri; Fastrac’s president and CEO, Tom Waddle; Jim Allen; Tom Wright, vice president of operations; Dave Hogan, vice president of food service; Sharon Parker, chief financial officer, and other Fastrac personnel.
A variety of Grand Opening specials and promotions are available now through the end of September.
