Eby-Brown’s newest executive team member is expected to be an asset to the company’s continued growth.
Eby-Brown has added T.J. Powers to the company’s executive team. In his new position as senior vice president of merchandising, Powers will be responsible for the enhanced growth and positioning of the company’s merchandising strategy.
“T.J. brings more than 16 years of expertise and knowledge in the convenience channel, with a strong emphasis on understanding the discipline of delivering double digit growth through enhanced solutions offerings that provide value to customer relationships through building vendor alliances. His disciplined understanding, coupled with his unique industry experience will be a great asset as we continue to grow our organization,” said Thomas Wake, co-president of Eby-Brown.
Prior to joining Eby-Brown, Powers spent more than 13 years with The Kellogg Co. in sales, account management and executive management as well as most recently, served as vice president for Oberto Brands. Powers has been responsible for growing customer bases for both companies through the development of strategic channel strategies and aligning cross functional, enterprise resources allowing him to cut costs and improve profitability.
Powers is active in many industry associations and serves on the Exhibitor Advisory Committee of the National Association of Convenience Stores.
