Consumers in Meadowview, Va. now have a new place to dine, shop and refuel.
Meadowview, Va. is now home to a new Love’s Travel Stops location, which opened along Interstate 81, on June 16.
The opening of this new travel stop has added approximately 60 jobs to Washington County, Va.
“Becoming a member of the Meadowview community is a great opportunity for us,” said Tom Love, founder and executive chairman of Love’s Travel Stops. “We are excited to serve new Customers with the ‘Clean Places, Friendly Faces’ Love’s is known for.”
The 24-hour, 10,000 square-foot facility features Subway and McDonald’s restaurants, gourmet coffee, fresh fruit, gift merchandise, name-brand electronics and more. Professional drivers can take advantage of five showers and 72 truck-parking spaces.
Love’s donated $10,000 to Meadowview Elementary School last month at a small assembly before the school let out for the year. The money will largely be spent on a two-way communications system that will allow every adult in the school to be equipped with a radio that will improve communications throughout the school.
Love’s will hold a ribbon cutting in conjunction with the Washington County Chamber of Commerce at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 14. Members of the Meadowview community are invited and encouraged to attend.
