Turkey Hill honors veterans and active military personnel while striving to help those who are struggling.
In a ceremony held on Nov. 6, 2015, Turkey Hill Minit Markets presented a donation check for $67,000 to the Pennsylvania Veterans Foundation.
The donation includes funds raised for the foundation during Turkey Hill’s 2015 Charity Golf Outing, which took place on Aug. 28 at the Hershey Country Club, as well as proceeds from t-shirt sales during the Turkey Hill / I-105 Fallfest October 4 at the Overlook Community Campus in Lancaster.
“Too many veterans across the country, including many right here in our local communities in Pennsylvania, are struggling,” said Kim Hertzog, public relations manager, Turkey Hill Minit Markets. “We are honored to be able to thank them for their service and sacrifices by contributing to the Pennsylvania Veterans Foundation’s mission to support them both directly and in partnership with other veterans’ organizations.”
As another way of thanking those who have served, Turkey Hill observed Veterans Day (Wednesday, Nov. 11) by offering all veterans and active duty personnel a free 12-ounce coffee or cappuccino, as well as a free car wash at Turkey Hill’s car wash locations.
