NOCO raises over $25,000 to support local Leukemia & Lymphoma Society chapter.
Throughout August and September, NOCO customers and employees raised $25,015 to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Western & Central New York Chapter.
“As a company firmly committed to giving back to our local community, NOCO has been a proud supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Western & Central New York Chapter since 2013,” said Michael Bradley, chief financial officer and senior vice president, NOCO. “In just those three years, NOCO has been proud to donate nearly $60,000 in customer and employee donations to support ongoing research and programs for members of our community impacted by blood cancers.”
The fundraising campaign kicked off at NOCO’s corporate offices in mid-August and included hot dog sales, dress down days, silent auctions, loose change promotions and employee walk donations. Throughout the month of September, NOCO Express customers participated in the campaign by making a $1 donation at any of the company’s 36 locations. NOCO employees were also on hand for a “Pump It Up” promotion at three Express locations where they pumped customers’ gas and washed car windows in exchange for a donation.
“We want to thank the associates and customers of NOCO, and our entire community for their tremendous efforts and generosity,” said Luann Burgio, deputy executive director, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Western & Central New York Chapter. “Special thanks to Mike Bradley, senior vice president and chief financial officer of NOCO and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2015 Light The Night Walk chair for his leadership and dedication which made this campaign such a tremendous success. The funds raised will be spent locally to support blood cancer research and local patient aid and services.”
