7-Eleven has recognized Taylor, Mich. store owner for Slurpee sales, but the rest of Michigan isn’t far behind.
Rani Singh, owner of the Taylor, Mich. 7-Eleven, has been crowned the 7-Eleven Slurpee Queen. Singh’s store sells on average around 375 Slurpees daily, and in the summer months, that number spikes to 1,000 a day.
Singh was honored in a ceremony on Wednesday for having the highest Slurpee sales in all 8,300 7-Eleven stores nationwide.
According to CBS Detroit, Singh supports local schools, baseball teams and philanthropic efforts, and her customers are her number one priority. Singh’s dedication and commitment to her customers is reflected in her store’s sales. Last year, Singh’s store reached $2 million in sales.
In addition to naming Singh Slurpee Queen, her store will be remodeled, new Slurpee machines were added and it received a new Slurpee machine that allows customers to experiment with different lemonade flavors.
Although Singh’s store was highest selling in Slurppees, CBS Detroit mentioned that 7-Eleven has recognized that eight of the 10 top selling stores for Slurpees are in Michigan. Stores in Michigan sell, on average, 3.5 times as many Slurpees than the average U.S. store.
