Plans to renovate legacy stores.
Wawa Inc. has launched the Wawa Remodel Program, an initiative in which the company will embark on a massive effort to remodel older, legacy stores to reflect Wawa’s latest store design and foodservice offering.
Throughout 2015, Wawa will remodel 40 existing stores—the most remodels to happen in one year ever in Wawa’s history. With a focus on remodeling a combination of both legacy and older fuel stores, customers can look forward to features like:
- Fuel stores receiving diesel pumps
- New Hand-Spun Milkshakes
- Coca- Cola Freestyle
- New store graphics and designs
As part of the Remodel Program, all Wawa stores will receive improved layout features to improve efficiency and to support our expanded food and beverage offer.
“This effort is extremely meaningful to all of as at Wawa, as it will enable us to share the most up to date Wawa brand features with more people in more places than ever before,” said Chris Gheysens, Wawa’s president and CEO. “Through this massive remodeling effort, we will enhance the customer and associate experience in our stores and begin to bring our older stores up-to-date by featuring our latest offer and design.
During the remodel process, stores will close for a few weeks while renovations take place.
