Participates in Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
VERC Enterprises, a leading convenience store and Mobil/Gulf gasoline operator with locations throughout Eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire, recently partnered with Gulf and raised a total of $5,979 for breast cancer research during the Strides Against Breast Cancer five-mile walk, held Oct. 5 at the Hatch Shell in Boston.
A team of 25 employees, friends and family represented VERC Enterprises at the fundraising event; the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is a powerful and inspiring opportunity to honor breast cancer survivors, increase awareness about the disease and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease through research, information and services.
VERC Enterprises placed donation canisters for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in each of its locations two weeks prior to the event; the total $5,979 raised by VERC resulted from canister donations, online contributions to Team VERC and cash donations collected by employees.
“It was our privilege to participate in such an inspiring event and help to raise awareness about a disease that affects so many people,” said Leo Vercollone, CEO of VERC Enterprises Inc.
