New food offerings feature peppermint whoopie bites.
Customers can cozy up for the holidays with new treats and eats at their nearest Corner Store this winter.
Beginning Dec. 2, peppermint whoopie bites with chocolate cake and peppermint blast sprinkles are available at $1.99 for a five-pack.
Customers can also cozy up with a mug of peppermint mocha cappuccino in one of Corner Store’s signature holiday mugs. Or try Santa’s favorite snack, a red velvet whoopie pie with cream cheese icing for 99 cents apiece.
For breakfast, shoppers can pick up a hot kolache with maple-flavored premium pork breakfast sausage, and for an afternoon snack, try thePicadillo Norteño puff pies with seasoned ground beef, carrots and potatoes stuffed inside buttery, flaky pie dough.
“Nothing says ‘holidays’ like crunchy, sweet peppermint, and we wanted to showcase flavors in our winter menu that would help our customers get in the spirit of the season,” said Richard Poye, Corner Store’s director of food service.
The new treats are part of Corner Store’s signature line of Fresh Choices foods baked or prepared fresh in the store’s kitchen. Other items include sausage kolaches made with sweet bread, cookies, donuts and breakfast tacos on homemade tortillas.
On the roller grill, Corner Store offers a variety of signature-label all-beef hot dogs and sausages on white or wheat buns.
In addition to Fresh Choices baked and packaged goods, the Corner Stores carry U Force energy and sport drinks, Cibolo Mountain coffee, FC bottled soda, Flavors2Go fountain drinks and 20-ounce ICEES for only $1.
