“Bill’s goal is to find the best sites, negotiate the deals, handle the permitting processes and negotiate our construction contracts,” says Parker’s CEO.
Parker’s has named Bill Bishop vice president of real estate and development, a new position for the growing company.
He will work with President and CEO Greg Parker on the company’s strategic real estate negotiations and acquisitions, citing research and permitting coordination with local officials.
He will also work with Parker to implement a new strategic growth plan while handling all real estate and construction matters for new store development and acquisitions, and will also manage all asset management functions for the company’s existing portfolio.
“As we continue to grow our Parker’s family of convenience stores, we want to insure a strong pipeline of properties and a steady deal flow to expand at a rate of at least 10 stores a year,” explained Parker. “Bill’s goal is to find the best sites, negotiate the deals, handle the permitting processes and negotiate our construction contracts.”
From 2012 to the present, Bishop served as senior real estate manager for Thorntons Inc., a convenience store group.
He was previously real estate acquisitions and development manager for Circle K Stores, from 2008 to 2012, and also served as vice president of real estate for prime development group from 2004 to 2008.
Bishop holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration, Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio, Magna Cum Laude, and has also completed the Urban Land Institute (ULI): Certified Development and Finance Professional Program.
