Leading online electronic cigarette manufacturer grows globally in brick-and-mortar c-store locations.
VMR Products has announced traditional retail growth into 50,000-plus locations worldwide. This achievement was made just one year after bringing the company’s flagship online brand V2 to convenience store locations.
The milestone, which signals the fastest growth rate in the industry for a Web-first brand, underlines VMR’s commitment to furthering its brick-and-mortar retail efforts.
VMR’s V2 brand is now carried by more than 40,000 locations in the U.S. and over 10,000 locations internationally, across 30 countries, including the UK, Germany, and Russia. VMR’s brands are sold by wholesalers like McLane, HT Hackney, and Core-Mark, as well as most major distributors and c-store retailers, including 7/11, Pilot Truck Stops, Sheetz, BP, Shell, Kangaroo and Circle K. The company is on track to surpass 70,000 stores by the end of 2014.
“Within a year, our traditional retail presence, both domestically and abroad, has grown tremendously,” said Andries Verleur, CEO & co-founder of VMR Products. “Our online, and now offline, success is an indication of the value our products and brands deliver to customers, as well as retail partners. We will continue to scale our offerings even further in the months ahead.”
At retail, the company’s products have excellent sell-through and repeat buyers. This is due in part to VMR’s large online customer base, which exceeds one million adults, being directed to local stores through the Website’s store locator.
