Vendor exhibit and trade show set for Feb. 27-28.
“The Grand Slam–Spring is in Full Swing” is the theme for the 2014 S. Abraham & Sons (SAS) Vendor Exhibit and Trade Show.
DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, Mich., the site of the 28th annual show, will feature 150 booths, representing 253 manufacturers. Twenty-two suppliers will represent 104 new items for SAS. Customers will place their orders on a USB flash drive, which then allows them to take the flash drive home with their show orders. Approximately 1,500 stores will be represented by buyers at this year’s show. The show opens on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. for multi store owners and at 2 p.m. for all customers. The show continues on Friday, Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Both opening days will begin with singing of the National Anthem and a parade of manufacturer mascots.
Home Plate Celebration is the theme for Thursday evening’s trade show entertainment. The evening will begin with a sit-down dinner and continues into the night with good music, fun entertainment such as retired professional umpires who our guests will try to “stump the ump”, casino games, great desserts and a fun night of surprises! Detroit’s very own Simone Vitale Band will light up the dance floor. Simone has played for celebrities like Tom Arnold and inauguration events for former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm and Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
Taking the “Baseball” theme to a new level, the “Third Base Convenience Store” will be the “last stop before home” featuring a great selection of product mix, merchandising concepts, fixtures and more. The “Field of Dreams” food court will have all the bases covered with our trade show greats such as Fruit Ridge Farms Sandwiches, Sub and Salads, Red Hots from Hot off the Grill, along with Beantown and Joe Coffee, just to name a few.
A highlight to the 2014 SAS Vendor Exhibit and Trade Show is a new Jeep raffle giveaway. Based on qualifying purchases one lucky customer will win a 2014 Jeep Wrangler.
