The new store is open 24/7 and offers the Rutter’s menu and free WiFi.
The doors at Rutter’s 59th convenience store slid open to welcome the crowd gathered at 714 W. Main St. in Mechanicsburg, Pa., on Dec. 18.
The 6,280-square-foot store, Rutter’s first in Mechanicsburg, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Some of the store’s features include 10 fueling spaces, six pumps have diesel fuel, a kerosene pump, round the clock access to Rutter’s award-winning menu and coffee bar, free WiFi, seating for 30, and Rutter’s iced teas and wholesome dairy products, including central Pennsylvania’s favorite chocolate milk.
Additionally, customers will have access to the Rutter’s Rewards program, which in addition to providing an instant discount, allows customers to earn cents-per-gallon rewards, up to the price of a gallon of gas, by making qualified purchases in the store.
“The Rutter’s Rewards program is the best in the industry,” said Derek Gaskins, Rutter’s chief customer officer. “We offer unlimited fuel savings to our customers by placing cents-off-per gallon rewards on 1,700 products inside our stores, including every beverage and most items on our world-class menu. There are even greater benefits for customers who register their card online. The fuel rewards can be redeemed on up to 20 gallons, and the savings are unlimited. It truly is the fastest way to lower gas prices.”
Smart phone users can download Rutter’s mobile app, the convenience store industry’s first, to access their Rutter’s Rewards account, redeem mobile coupons, find Rutter’s gas prices by store and play games to win free merchandise.
Rutter’s has been a household name in central Pennsylvania since its beginning in 1921, when George and Bud Rutter sold their milk products from a horse-drawn wagon.
